Our Ashram – Radharani bridhashram

Set amidst the barren surroundings of Bhaddi, Purulia,Radha Rani Briddhashram is a home away from home for the aged. Spread on an area of 4 acres this shelter cum resort draws everyone to its lush greenery, garden, pond, domesticated animals, birds, restaurant and conference hall.

At a distance of 45 Km from Dhanbad, 50 Km from Purulia and 20 Km from Chandankiyari, this centre is a haven of peace and scenic beauty.

In today’s fast and noisy life, people crave for silence. Radharani Briddhashram is the correct place to leave your worries behind and relax for a day or two.

AIM

This centre has been developed with an aim to provide solace, calm and peace to the inmates of the old age home and the visitors of the resort. As Bhaddi has remained in the background for quite a long time, this centre has been designed with an aim to bring about overall development of the village.

About 50 varieties of fruit trees have been planted in the garden for research purpose. This will soon prove which plants will thrive well in the typical soil of Bhaddi.Saplings of such plants will be distributed free of cost to the villagers for increased growth and business in the long run. All these activities will be done under the able guidance of environmentalists, researchers and expert botanists.

The decor of the centre is completely eco-friendly. Bamboo, wood grass or cane have been primarily used to do the railings, doors, partitions or covers. There is limited use of tin, plastic or fibre.

Since the centre is in a village, most employees including workers, helpers, cooks, gardeners, masons, peons etc are localites. Therefore, Radharani Briddhashram will become a regular source of income and employment for the residents of Bhaddi and the neighbouring villages in the long run.

The founder plans to conduct weekly classes of stitching,knitting, art, craft and candle-making to help the locals in becoming self-sufficient.

There will be monthly training and competition of Kabaddi, Kho-kho and hockey to tap the dormant talents from the nearby villages and to help them to earn name for themselves as well as their village.

At regular intervals there will be curricular and co- curricular activities as well as classes to guide the students of this remote area. Of course, all these services will be provided free of cost.
